INGREDIENTS

12 hard-boiled eggs (see page 39)

¼–½ cup mayonnaise

3 tablespoons Jump Up and Kiss Me Original Hot Sauce or other hot sauce with curry

3 tablespoons lemon juice

3 garlic cloves, crushed

Salt and freshly ground white pepper

Paprika

Sliced pimiento-stuffed olives (optional)

Makes 24 egg halves

AUNT JUDITH’S DEVILED EGGS

Family parties with the Thompson clan in Oklahoma are fun affairs, with plenty of food and always deviled eggs, be it Christmas, a christening, Easter … basically any time there’s a get-together. I asked the Thompson ladies to give me their particular deviled recipes, and this is Aunt Judith’s. If you prepare it several hours ahead, cover the eggs loosely with plastic wrap to prevent moisture from accumulating.
